Part #: 75673. Our corporate headquarters and main warehouse are located in Burnsville, Minnesota. ABOUT THE PART Class III/IV hitches are Weight Carrying (WC) and also are Weight Distributing (WD) hitches depending on the vehicle and hitch specifications.
The Draw-Tite hitch is better than the Curt because it uses existing holes on the Outback. I used the no-drilling method of removing the bumper. Follow the service manual for instruction - it's available on-line if you search. (Push in the flush push pins to release.) I think it is more rugged than the factory hitch which has a torsion design flaw. No complaints, other than it is 37lbs!
It took a while to install (about 2.5 hours) but that's because I did it by myself without anyone's help. I used a special motorcycle jack to keep the hitch in place up against the bottom of the car while I put the bolts in. The pre-drilled holes on the hitch matched perfectly to the holes on the Outback frame so I didn't have to drill any new holes for the hitch. I did however have to widen the access hole in order to pull the bolts and block through the rail frame. This part took the longest. It was like trying to thread a needle with thick thread. Also, the manual was so so. Just pull up a video on YouTube to see how it's done.
