The Audio-Technica ATH-EQ300M is a headphones set with an over-the-ear design. The headset users a plastic loop piece on each earpiece to slide over the top of a users ear. This holds the Audio-Technica headphones speakers on the outside of the ear to deliver audio output. Internal 28 mm drivers provide sound creation for the over-the-ear headphones. The minimum frequency response required by the headset is 16 Hz. The maximum frequency response the Audio-Technica ATH-EQ300M can use is 24 kHz. This unit operates on 20-Ohm impedance. Maximum power output for the Audio-Technica headphones is 500 milliwatt with 102 dB sensitivity. The cord on the over-the-ear headphones measures 1.2 m and is tipped with gold-plated connector. The connector is gold-plated for greater electrical conductivity. This results in less signal degradation with the Audio-Technica headphones that creates improved sound output. This headphone set is compatible for user with multiple audio devices including stereo systems, mobile media players, and cellular devices. The headset from Audio-Technica weighs 2.1 oz.
