Never Sleep With a Friend
I purchased this headset for nostalgic & practical reasons. I owned a pair of slightly used ones years ago. Although somewhat dated, these are very good headphones. Sure, they're no match for the advanced DSP processing built into today's noise cancelling headsets, but they get the job done, and comfortably - so much so that I actually tried sleeping with them on (1st pair I owned). That was a bad idea. I ended up with a broken pivot (where the earpiece attaches to the headband), and was heartbroken. Well, that might be a bit dramatic, but I did rely on them to help with my Hyperacusis condition. I love music; from classical to Tom Petty, but noise, loud or soft (and yes, that includes that thing called rap), literally throws me into a tantrum. These headsets provide a resonable degree of solace, particularily when I'm subjected to steady state noise such as lawnmowers, or the air coming from the A/C heating vents. I feel I got a pretty good deal on these still-in-the-original-package headsets. I'm a happy peaceful camper.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best deal in NR Headphones
These are the best noise reducing headphones, by far, for the price. Comfortable and good sounding, I use these headphones for noisy environments and couldn't be more pleased. They can be a bit delicate, but they are easy to fix with JB-Weld when the earpiece swivel breaks (which every one eventually does). I fell pine and oak trees, rake leaves, trim branches, fix cars and trailers, and just about everything else while wearing these.
