The T1s might look similar to other Beyerdynamic models, but it definitely stands out from the rest of the lineup. Beyerdynamic is known for their high-quality construction but they cross every t and dot every i with the T1. Just like older flagship models, the T1 comes with a nice aluminum flight case. Comfort: The T1s are very comfortable and the velour pads should fit well regardless of head size. It is one of those small things that can be extremely irritating, especially when you can't get them to fit without some material or metal touching your ear. They're also fairly lightweight compared to others, such as, HE-6 or LCD-2/3. Sound: Sound stage is good across all frequencies but the sound is just not dynamic as the HD800s, HE-6s, or even the LCD-2s. I can't quite put my finger on it, but even with a really nice amp there is something lacking. They might be slightly better at working off a portable rig than the HD800s; definitely better than the HE-6s; and probably better than the LCD-2s, but since I use headphones in multiple environments I would opt for any of the others mentioned before these. Overall: If you can find these used for $800 I would take them since you can't find HD800 or HE-6s at that price. You might be able to find LCD-2s, but there is definitely a lot of variance in product with the LCD-2s. If you like very neutral sounding headphones like Shure or AKG 701s then you might like these, but I came in with really high expectations and they were only minimally met.Read full review
I stayed away from these and sennheisers hd 700 because of bad reviews but it was a huge mistake the hd700 is excellent and then I got a first gen T1 and was just shocked, how could people say anything bad about the T1, they are the only headphone that can do crazy micro details to this level and still be enjoyable the bass goes so low it can hurt, the mids are very natural and not recessed and the treble is beautiful it also is very well extended the soundstage is all you would ever need I think due to its superior imaging and that is what this headphone is all about insane details and imaging to the point of making other expensive headphones sound sloppy and congested, I think the sound alone can justify the price but it's not all you get, no you get probably the best built headphone out there it's extremely comfortable and also looks phenomenal, many headphones have come and gone through my collection this is one that I'll never sell and I honestly couldn't say that about any other headphone I've owned/ownRead full review

Funny, I have the T90, rated at 250 ohms, which i had a hard time running and getting satisfactory sound. The T1, 2nd gen rated at 600 ohms, I plugged in and it worked fine, nice sound, but sounds much better on a balanced tube dac. I'm waiting for a balanced connection for my Sony pha-3. Totally expect that it will sound even better. I have: Sony mdr-z7, Sennheiser hd 700, Bowers & Wilkins p9, and beyerdynamics T1-2nd ed., and they all go at it head to head, slightly different sound signatures is all. To be honest I can't pick an over all winner, that I prefer the best.

With the right amp, ( I use a " bottelhead crack") this headphone sounds more than incredible. Placement of instruments and performers is breathtaking. Bass is spot on..highs crisp but not earpiercingly high. A true audio tool that will perform like a $10,000 (or more!) speaker system.

The T1 (2nd gen) allows us to hear high definition from our music library to such an extent as to bring it to life. Recordings I loved but long stopped listening to from decades of repetition are all now fresh and new. Sgt. Pepper's had me hear harmonies and instruments I'd never heard before. The soundstage is beautiful with instruments on either side of the vocals and classical music sounds as if the performance is in my living room. The bass is strong but not the overdone dulling of the ears a la bass head variety These are built for life and are my "endgame" headphones.

I have more headphones than I need but I keep picking these up. Their very light weight and great bottom end are hard to beat. These have become some of my favorite phones.

These are just as good as the first gen senny hd800, but they have come down in price more. Totally worth it.

Ainda não me convenci que o som seja igual ou superior ao do Sennheiser 800.
