Tweaking the learning curve.
First off, the book is a gift for my 9 year-old grandson. He and I have been playing chess for over a year. He's been advancing nicely and can probably beat his Dad at chess already. Poorly Organized, Full of Errors
If you already know the basic jargon of chess and don't really need a book to actually teach you the notation system of chess, this is a fine book. But if you aren't already a pro with understanding that notation to such an extent that mistakes of it don't confuse and deter you from pursuing the game further, avoid this book and learn it elsewhere.
