Perfect for traveling light and sturdy enough for most things...
Currently on tour through Italy with a Tom Waits-ish jazz band and this thing is perfect and fits in my suitcase with no problems. It's also sturdy and weighs next to nothing- which is huge when traveling by plane and train (and occasionally vaporetto). Of course this stand probably wouldn't work if you play like Dave Grohl or own a 8x14 ultra-heavy brass snare, but for a travel-ready jazz kit, it's absolutely perfect! One last thing: I'm primarily using it with an LP Trashcan snare. Those familiar with this snare know that it has the trash can handle on the bottom. This isn't a problem with this snare stand- just tuck the longest arm of the snare cradle through the handle and then position the other two arms where they fit.
