Had a set of the snap lock connectors on my strap. Needed a couple of extra buttons to go on another guitar. Finish matched perfectly. Strap snapped right in. I prefer these to the Gotoh locks due to the height of the attachment points. The Gotoh hardware adds almost an additional half inch to the height of the attachment point from the body of the guitar. This causes undue stress on the screws. I have already had to drill one out of another guitar because it snapped off. The Dunlop design is superior because it does not add this additional leverage to the screw.

I've been using the Dunlop straplocks for almost two decades now and they have NEVER failed. The Dual-Design strap button allows use with conventional straps but when used with the matching lock system, optimum security is provided for your guitar. Dunlop straplocks are installed on every guitar in the house (they are OEM by some guitar manufacturers) and always will be. For an average price of $20 you can have peace of mind and be insured those beloved guitars don't hit the floor while you're wearing 'em. I won't own a guitar without Dunlop straplocks!

I had an old strap with late 90s Dunlop style strap locks on it from an old bass I got rid of. I only needed the buttons, so spotted these on eBay and gave them a shot. Screwed them on, and they work just as well as the buttons on the old bass. They do exactly what they're supposed to do, and you don't have to get a whole new set.

Dunlop strap locks/buttons do what they are intended to do. The best in my opinion. The only downside is installation as the screws strip easily. Make sure to make a small pilot hole the length of the screw while seated in the button. Don ’t exceed the length of the screw. The pilot hole drill bit should be thinner than the screw so you don’t make a bigger hole than the screw it self. IMPORTANT: Also, I run a small beed of crazy glue on the screw when screwing in. (This is a necessity you do not want to overlook) Without the glue, you will find the buttons get loose and you will tighten more often that expected. Eventually the screw heads will strip as you keep tightening. The glue is key! The screws are soft metal and the hex head is not too deep. Here is another tip. When purchasing a complete set, you will find that you may need more buttons than the actual locks that live on your strap. So for players with a multitude of guitars that use the same system, I suggest buying separate buttons as they are way cheaper than a complete set. Then you can use the same strap for most all of your guitars that have the same strap button positioning. Meaning: Some strap buttons live on the horn, some live on the neck, some live on the neck heel or neck plate, etc… Hope this helps! Peace and Rock On!Read full review

Always put these on my guitars as soon as I buy them that way I can use one strap with all my Basses and know they will be secure. I like being able to buy the buttons that way I don't have to buy the whole kit!

Excellent cost alternative. If you're like me and you have multiple guitars this allows you to use the same strap instead of spending 15-20 dollars on a full set. These will also work with the original flush mount designed dunlop strap locks.

Exactly why I bought it. Fits with my older sets of Dunlop Strap Lock hardware (which is on a couple of my old straps) AND can be used with a regular non-locking strap as well. Great design!

I first started using Dunlop straplocks when they came as original parts on my first Hamer guitars. The straplocks are dual design and can be used with the Dunlop straplock system or a regular traditional strap. This is the 2nd generation which is the one to get. I have them on all my guitars.

Dunlop straplocks are my favorite, they have never failed me. Installation is easy and the quality is first rate. But what's this question, "Is it enjoyable?" I hate generic questions.
