Good charge, poor durability
I am a heavy duty truck mechanic. I use my super bright flashlight alot... but it only came with a single cell. The tool truck wants 40 effin bucks for another battery (and you have to plug the light itself in to charge them), so i decided to invest in a large pack of spares that i can throw on my vape charger racks.
These things run my light for a fairly good anount of time, at its peak ability, which i am very happy about, but one is ruined 2 days in.
I dropped one of the brand new cells, from a seated position on my laminant coated shop floor. It halpened to land damn-near perfectly on the + button tip. As i picked it up off the floor to put it in my light, i noticed it was gettimg extremely hot. Not knowing where to set a potential fire starter, i cut the skin open to investigate the short. The top cap with the button has no insulation in the very tiny gap between the positive end, and the (negative) housing. So that tiny amount of pressure flared the top just enough to cause the battery to short circuit. After finding out how close the gap is, im concerned about using them in my expensive flashlight, for it has strong springs that may collapse the button end and cause a short. Perhaps i got one defective battery, and it is no real threat, but im not going to cut the skin on all the others to find out. I will proceed with caution, and maybe update my review with time.
I hope this helps anyone considering these batteries.
