I learned that the ASUS chargers can slowly go bad. Mine went bad in that more and more, it would be connected but the ASUS Q200E would not be charging. As soon as I powered off the ASUS, the charging indicator LED would be lit. When I booted the ASUS back up, it would go out. I thought the issue was with the battery or something in the Windows 10 battery management drivers. I back level to Windows 8 (the original operating system) and it still failed. I was going to get a battery when I read another review about the failing chargers. I had even measured the charging voltage on the charger when the laptop was not charging and it seemed good. It appears there is an issue with the amount of load the ASUS puts on the charger, and if the charger keeps charging. When the ASUS is powered off, there is of course very little load at all, so the charger works as expected. When booted up, there is much more load and the charger fails to charge properly. I'm so glad I didn't replace the battery first!Everything is working fine once again.Read full review
