Not the same Glenn Frey
I had heard a few cuts from this CD before I bought it so I wasn't as surprised as maybe some of you would be. Growing up I played in a rock band but we also moon lighted doing "The shadow of your smile" and "What's it all about -Alfie" type gigs when they presented themselves...We just thought we were doing it for the money and to get out of the house..but it gave us all a deep appreciation for this pop/smooth jazz style music. Glenn did a great job on these tunes...showing his incredible versatility. He was not just a one trick pony. Smooth vocals..great music with a '40's jazz flair from a different era...(Although he does a beautiful rendition of Bryan Wilson's - Caroline, No. that would bring tears to a glass eye!) If you are wanting more of the old Glenn or Eagles type music then this may not be for you...but If you like this type music then you are in for a treat!

Great album. I knew Glenn was a great pop / rock singer, but his standard stylings is also tremendous! Great CD! At this time...it's my favorite CD. For those of you that loved Glenn...."Here's To Life" is a real tear jerker....as if Glenn knew that time was running out. My hats off to you Glenn! Great job on this album.

If you like the Eagles or Glenn Frey especially, this is a really different album from him. Romantic songs and old standards.
This is a great Glenn Frey album, and it came quickly, but to the wrong address. I bought it for a friend, and carefully indicated her address, but it came to me.

Goodbye Glenn
I love Glenn's Take on some of these old standard tunes. Much in the way Rod Stewart as well as others have in the later part of there recording careers. I really enjoy Glenn's voice and all of the arraignments on this project.
