good for theatrical plays
I own two Pyle Podcast microphones.So, I decided to give the setup a try. My church has one too. We use this system for church plays and theatrical plays. The lavaliers pick up sound with reasonable volumes at the board. We get good audio to the boards and having 8 Lavs make it easy to get the entire cast miked up. Not one Pro remark.
I honestly can’t think of one thing that I liked about this product. Every pro that I purchased this for resulted in failure and disappointment. One channel was dead on arrival. All working channels add a sparkling/static/hiss noise to the voice and where distorted. Two of the channel gain adjustments did not rotate freely (very stiff) and had to be forced to rotate past the 12 o’clock position. All lapel mic clips where painted closed and required much force to open the first time. This unit sounds terrible and burns through 9 volt batteries as if they were AAA’s.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fairly good but mfg has not addressed an issue with one beltpack.
Works reasonably well but one of the belt packs is intermittent. I wrote to Pyle about it when I registered a couple weeks ago but got no response. Pyle Rack Mount 8 Channel Wireless Mic System
This is a good little system for the money. The prices vary widely though so make sure to shop around. My only issue is that all the systems operate on the same frequencies so if you need more than 8 mics you're out of luck. Bad design
All the mic's are on one output. If you mute one you mute all of them. All the mic's are on the same channel and you can't change that channel. If you have anyone on that same channel you hear them and you can't get them off. You can't control individual Gain and you get feedback on all the mic's.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

No Big Complaints
I was rather skeptical about this product but used it for our Christmas Church Play and it worked wonderfully. All mics worked with no interference or static. I had to turn the headset mics really low and the lapels up high in order to use both together. The sound quality was very good and I was able to turn the gain up enough to pick up the lapels ok enough as long as the performer did not turn their head too much.
