it is a nice piece to add to a well rounded reloading setup. I use it for old military brass and it works amazing. it isn't cheap junk that works well for a bit then falls apart. I have seen people with old ones from years ago and they are still functioning as they should that's why I chose this over other products

Once set up this product works great! However set up is tedious and time consuming. I would recommend this for someone who only neck turns one caliber, possibly two. If you have several different calibers you need to neck ream, I would look at another product for that. BUT once this is set up for a specific caliber, it is spot on!

This is an excellent entry level tool. It is reasonably priced and after setup and a learning curve, works quite well. The only downside is that Hornady shell holders are necessary (Lyman, RCBS, et al, do not work) so be aware that you need to purchase additional items to get this running.

I purchased to neck turning tool to try to improve my shooting. Hornady always made decent products in the past. The tools comes with four neck mandrels for different calibers. But it doesn’t come with the shell holder base which is proprietary to this holder. So I had to search for the shell holders and lost two weeks waiting on the $4 part needed to use the tool. They should supply these with the neck mandrels.
