This product is good, for the price. Quality is good and it works ok. When installed as instructed, the receiver still "wobbles". Have used it several times and it works... gets the job done. I prefer this type of tool over the "clam shell" type.

The BEV Block will do it's required job but IMO is not much of a value. It is a very sloppy fit in the mag well, and although it will secure the upper for barrel work I would not pay more than $25 for it if I could have used it first. I figure 40% of the price was for the name.

Magpul never disappoints, and the bev block is no exception. It positively locks when used in the magazine well position, and is handy for cleaning rifles or working on your lower. When upright (as pictured) it is simply genius. The lugs engage with the barrel extension on the foreword end, and simply removing your bolt from your BCG and engaging the aft end of the bev block through the back of the receiver (the way you would normally put your BCG in through) firmly locks it into place with the help of a small o-ring. This bad boy appears to metal or steel reinforced so it is strong enough to really put some torque down on he barrel without the fear of cracking or stressing your upper. Totally worth the buy!

Excellent tool for working on the upper of an AR15. The lugs lock into the barrel extension then you slide your bolt carrier (only) over the rear extension along with a plastic pin that goes through the front pivot pin hole and allows you to do all the work you need on the barrel, barrel nut, muzzle brake, sights or hand guard. Kit comes with extra receiver forward pivot pins and o-rings. I used it to remove and replace a free float tube so I could access the muzzle brake on my AR pistol. It worked great with no binding on the receiver or damage to anything. Like everything Magpul sell its well thought out, properly executed and better than anything anyone else makes.

I like the BEV block for several reasons. 1. It is an affordable alternative to buying a Reaction Rod and a lower vice block 2. Much better than the old clam shell set up that puts pressure on your upper receiver installing/uninstalling barrels There are some drawbacks to the BEV block 1. The fit can be a bit sloppy compared to the Reaction Rod 2. I can not flip a barrel and receiver upside down to install a gas block like you can with a reaction rod All in all, the BEV block is a good value if you only plan to use it a few times per year.

I have built many Rifles, some budget builds and others seemed to get expensive. Magpul has always produced quality products. They offer to many products to list or go into detail about but always stay a step ahead and seem to anticipate customers needs. Magpul BEV Block is another magpul success I have used to build 2 rifles so far. Simple/Effective/Budget Friendly.Highly Recommend i

Great vise block! I like that you the upper and lower block in one tool. Solid tool that holds the upper and lower in place. I've used this vise twice so far to change out an upper and replace a hand guard, had no problem with it. Did what it is made for. I highly recommend the Magpul Bev vise block.

Seems like a great value when you realize it does about the same thing as the more expensive "reaction rod" and also has a lower receiver vice block as well. One build down and I'm sure it'll hold up for many more.

Best for both your upper and lower. Also of your building a polymer upper you need a barrel extension torque tool and this bev block is the best because it uses your bolt to stabilize the upper receiver it doesn't just focus on the barrel extension itself like other tools so spend the money on this awesome tool and pat yourself on the back

I bought it to build an ultra-light AR15. I needed the barrel held while I torque down the nut on a poly upper. It held the barrel sign and the upper had no damage to it. I'll be using it on my next 3 builds also
