Clear, powerful, and very functional
This harman kardon 490i Receiver is loud, powerful, and clear; for only 30 Watts into 8 ohms it packs a mountain of power. It is as if it has the power, clarity of a 50W amplifier! I should know because I also have an integrated amplifier of 50 Watts into 8 ohms. The FM reception is close to excellent. Maybe since because of its age since it was made, and used in the late 1980s there seems to be a bit of a problem with AM reception. There are stations such as AM640 that are 638, and AM740 is listed in the quartz digital display as AM738. Anyway, besides those minor disadvantages, the phono connection, and connection to a cassette deck are excellent; and the sound of music is exceptional.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
