This is a great book for Hams wanting to understand the theory and practice of erecting vertical antennas. The designs presented range from the basic to the profoundly complex -- requiring a real grasp of the theory of hurling RF over long distances with a minimum of distracting influences and interference. The book explains the why's and wherefore's of good vertical design, supported by sound logic and, depending of whether you were paying attention in summer school, formulas. To be clear, however, the authors freely accept the limitations of vertical antennas; but they also explain how to get the most out of what you might have to throw into the rewarding effort, especially when resources and conditions are limited.
This book is a great addition to my antennas library.
