The sound quality is adequate, operation is simple and its easy to connect to the stereo. Playing records in portable mode using the built in speakers, the sound volume is decent enough in a quiet space, but in a party atmosphere with a lot of party sounds it would be hard to hear. When you lower the lever to place the needle on the record or back in cradle, the needle lowering process is very slow, but it does softly lower in both cases. If you are playing a record through RCA jacks into your stereo, it works well, but the sound cannot be shut off through the player speakers, just turned to very low. The vinyl wrapped wood sides are nicer than plastic. Have yet to try the Bluetooth features.
