Appears to have crapped out almost out of the box
I say "appears" because I haven't given the drive definitive testing yet. In doing a clone of my 500GB Seagate Slim data drive using Acronis 2015 True Image the program stopped before the process was completed, filling up less than half the drive. Then I could not make it appear on windows explorer (XP) at all, even after putting it thru its paces using MiniTool Partition Wizard which set the drive to 'active' and gave it a new drive letter. I'm guessing infant mortality; I can't imagine many such drives failing so quickly. Fortunnately these things are so cheap (~$50) that I just bough another drive, a 1 TB Seagate which is working fine. WD has a good reputation overall from what I read so I suppose I was just unlucky. But I now run 3 USB hard drives, all of them Seagates.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bought but it broke right away.
