If you have no basic knowledge of the distilling process this is a good book. It has a lot of information but lacks a lot of detail about actual procedures. Most instructions on steps to follow are not complete enough for the novice.

Like the writer says in the beginning, he relies on his experience along with other written materials. I do not recommend this book to anyone wanting to distill their own whiskey, it is of very little help .....

This is definitely a beginners book.Somethings King points out I don't agree with but it wont matter for a beginner.You can get the basic idea on equipment and procedures. It's worth ten bucks but not a whole lot more. For serious people, keep on reading elsewhere!
