Great Idea But Quality Has Decreased
I had purchased a couple of these several years ago when they first came out. I ended up giving these away to some friends. I figured I'd buy a couple more, however upon setting them up I realized that the quality of them had considerably diminished. The top when set level, does not sit parallel to the floor, and the frame leans to one side. This happened with both that I had purchased, and the odd twist/lean was not identical in both--each seemed to set slightly askew in its own way. Also, the sliding tray in the front does not slide in and out easily. Additionally, the tray top sags/bends on the right side just over the cup holder tray when an item of modest weight (i.e. a heavy book) is placed over that part of the tray top. Lastly, the bar that supports the tray underneath does not snap into the plastic guides very securely. thus if you bump the tray top up slightly it unfastens causing the tray top to lean on that side.
For the price I figured it's easier and cheaper to keep them than to return them. They're still useable, but definitely the quality control in manufacturing has fallen off. It seems as if tooling specs are off, and the quality of the plastic tray top is less rigid. I would not purchase these again unless I could directly inspect what I'm getting first. There may be various manufacturers that are making these and so your experience may be different.
