As far as "Jack Reacher" stories go, this one wasn't quite as exciting as others I've read. It was a good solid read-but it seemed that Lee Child added some different chemistry to the character that just didn't click for me. After having read all the other "Jack Reacher" books, my expectations were a little too high perhaps? I give it a 4 out of 5 stars just for that reason. I don't want to diminish from Lee's obvious skill as a writer- because his talent is still top notch and if I had never read any of his previous work I would possibly have given this book a 5/5. But, like I said, it was a good solid read and I still enjoyed it but my expectations weren't quite reached after having read all of his other books. (**Spoiler alert** if you continue to read my review) The main complaint I have with this book was the aspect of teamwork that was integrated. The main character has never been much of a team player in any of the previous books and that just didn't seem to work with what I expected from "Jack Reacher". I almost got the impression that Lee Child's heart wasn't into this book 100% or maybe that he was experimenting a little and trying to mix things up in anticipation of his upcoming movie....I can't quite put my finger on it-but this book just didn't happen for me like all of his other books. This won't dissuade me from reading any of his future work, because Lee Child is a fantastic writer and I totally dig the "Jack Reacher" character.Read full review
I got this book for my Kindle the day before hurricane Sandy hit us here in Upstate NY. I am so incredibly glad I did. I read for 6 straight hours quite simply because there was absolutely nothing else to do but wait out the storm. So the book kept me engrossed enough that inspite of trees toppling down around me I only cared about our good guy Jack. I was without electricity for a total of 4 days and I charged my Kindle in my car and happily read on. With that being said....A Wanted Man is full of twists and turns. It definetly kept you guessing. I still want to know how Jack broke his nose but I'm certain I will find out in another book. I have a new riddle to add to my repertuar as well. Thanks to Lee Child for allowing me to concern myself with Jack Reacher's well being instead of stressing over mine.Read full review
Another action packed explosive thriller with REACHER absolutely destroying anything and everything in his path. Fast paced! Great like all in the series. Just please people, don't picture Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, 5' 7" 150lbs is not 6' 5" 250!!!! Lol Great book!

Have been an addict since the first Reacher novel. Wonderful literature. Fast paced action, quick wit, a little romance. What more could you want? Now it has gone to film. Was so excited for this moment till I heard who they chose to portray Jack. Towering, muscle bound, sandy haired guy with a handsome weathered face and icy blue eyes portrayed by a short, medium built, Italian looking guy. All I can say is if the acting isn't supurb, another great novel sent down the drain. If anyone read the Fletcher novels, they were astounding. Chevy Chase tortured them into slap stick comedy. I surely hope Jack Reacher can make a screen debut that he so deserves. He is a wonderful character. Lee Child is an extremely talented writer.
Once again, plenty of plot twists to keep you turning the pages. Jack Reacher is the guy we all wish we were at some point in our lives. He manages to work his way from the middle of nowhere to the middle of an international plot…and does it with his usual style. The book won’t disappoint.
