The Catalytic Converter on my 2004 Saturn had the guts blown right off. A chunk of it would partially block the exit of the converter, as it flew around inside. The original converter came with the pipe from the manifold, and would cost over $ 500. My pipe was alright. Why spend the extra money? I cut off both ends of the old converter and put short extensions on the new, much cheaper converter from Amazon. Four clamps with exhaust sealer, and I had a new catalytic converter for less than 20% of the cost of buying one in Canada.
