Good value, if not quality
This is a hydraulic master cylinder used to activate the clutch in my car. It is made of plastic. No wonder it fails so easily! This particular cylinder cost about half of what my local auto parts store wanted. For that reason, I recommend it, and believe it is a good value. The cylinder from my local parts house is also plastic, and no better than this one. I say that this is not of good quality because I believe that plastic is not the appropriate material to make hydraulic cylinders from. This appears to have happened because the engineers at Chrysler were more concerned about keeping manufacturing cost and vehicle weight down, than they were with producing a decent vehicle. I would buy this again because there is not a better one available, and this one cost less.
