Well-built, great value for the blade....
This thing is way sharper than you might expect. Any part of the edge will shave the hair off your arm with no effort whatsoever. Some listings call it a "machete". It is more of a durable camp knife. Very well suited to chopping and slicing. A little short and heavy for swinging, but it will cut about anything you hit with it with that razor factory edge. A very heavy blade, about 3/16" or more along the spine. Durable, easy to clean black coating on the blade. The handle scales look a little cheap but seem durable. You could copy and replace them with some nice hardwood scales and it would really be sweet. The sheath is on the cheap side - canvas with nylon belt loop. The grip snap loop already tore off. A nice leather sheath would make it a very nice package, but then it would cost more. Don't pay more than $75 for this delivered to your door.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Another excellent product by kabar
It came very sharp, chops very well. I like the 1095 Cro van steel as it holds a nice edge. Handle is comfortable. The Johnson Adventure series is well done and this paired with the Potbelly knife makes a nice 1-2 punch for wood processing and trail clearing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Outstanding value. Chopped some small trees and brush down, some sapling trees were about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. The knife cuts like an axe, and held its edge so well it's hard to tell where the blade hit the wood. Honestly, we were amazed at the condition of the edge after chopping all of that brush.
