Good power with nice control features

Have not had long but very pleased with performance so far. Easy to set up and use, am using a pair of Lanzar 15 inch 2400 peak wattage subs in 4 ohm configuration so I have been able to run at relatively high power. the only gripe I have is that it runs pretty warm so be careful about where you mount it. Other than that, a good amplifier for the money.

    boss 4000 watt amp

First off you get what you pay for flat out. This amp was hooked up next to a cheap audiopipe 1500D just to have a comparison. This boss amplifier does not do any wear near rms rated specs. Probably closer to 800 rms @ 1 ohm. The audiopipe will put out the same wattage at 1/4 gain that this boss amp will struggle to put out at full gain. Bottom line there is better amps out there for the money. Would definitely not recommend to anyone that is serious about car audio.

  • Good for the price

I waited a while before I wrote a review for this. It is much smaller than expected (that's what she said haha). But it does sound great. I paired it with (2) boss audio "2300w" 12" in a ported box. Wired to 1ohm. It moves a lot of air especially in a hatchback tiburon. It does get really hot though. It may be because of the hatchback and that I mounted it on top of the box which is basically in the back window and it's July. I wanted to save the 3cu feet of trunk I have left. I am buying an 8in amp fan. That should help. I'd recommend a fan for any mount location. I used 0 gauge amp kit but you only need a 4 gauge. Sorry for the quality of the photos. They're picture of pictures on another phone. 1. First is the finished product. Looks decent. Also installed a double din touch screen. 2. The amp. 3. The 0 gauge and the fuse. 4. I custom made a toggle switch hooked to the memory wire of the amp sonibcan turn the amp off completely when I wanted just normal sounding music or if it was really hot out I guess so it won't be forest into protect mode. 5. Find a good ground spot. Yes I used a dremel to remove the paint under the gold connector as well.

  • almost sent it back it was so small

THIS IS ONE KICKIN LITTLE AMP. I WAS SO SUPRIZED I DID BOTHER TO HOOK IT UP FOR LIKE A WEEK I THOUGHT I MADE A BIG MISTAKE. AFTER I WIRED IT UP I WAS BLOWN AWAY. I HAD A LANZAR 5000 WATT BRIDGED TO 4 OHMS. THIS NEW ONE IS AT LEAST 3 TIMES MORE POWERFULL. I GOT IT BRAND NEW FOR 103.00 AND YOU CAN STRAP THEM SO THIS ONE IS 4000 WATTS IF I STRAPED IT IT WOULD BE 8000 WATTS. IT WOULD BLOW OUT MY SPEAKERS. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS AMP. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BIG ENOUGH WIRES . I HAVE 2 SETS OF 4 GUAGE AND ONE 0 GUAGE. YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE WIRES. OR YOU MAY BLOW THE AMP.. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS. CHRIS

  • 2nd time around

2nd purchase decided to strap them to to get closer to actual 4K output that one of them is supposed to have. Will see what they can do w/the audio pipe 12’s I now have. The Boss 12’s fried after about 6months on the single amp. Will update you when the 2nd amp is installed. PBear6

  • How low can you go Bubba Bubba Bass

Well for the true RMS to Peak is pretty standard in normal the one ohm is awesome cuz you can drive it and go flip it to the 4ohm direct out the amp itself is very Compact and it looks nice quality all-around 9.8 it was hard to find any flaws in the system itself

  • Great value best bang for your buck

Been hooked up for 2 weeks now. It is running 4 ct sounds 10 inch bio dual 2 ohm subs in a bandpass box and it sounds amazing I'd say it gets close if not to its 3000 watt rms rating so for 100 bucks u really can't beat it

  • 4000 watt lol. Boss amp.

Amp is made pretty well nowhere near 4000 Watts LOL. Works good for running my boss Phantom speakers. Cost is low but you get what you pay for. This will be my second one for the twelves, the first one lasted a little over a year but again for the price I'll roll the dice!
