I recently upgraded to three monitors and bought a USB 3.0 video adapter to go with my EVGA two-monitor video card, installed in my PC. The set up worked OK, but the USB video adapter couldn’t keep up with video images that well. The solution was to get a dedicated 3 or 4-monitor video card. I’m not a gamer, so I was searching for simple, yet powerful enough, multi-monitor video card to smoothly handle video and photo editing software and CAD applications. My problem was solved when I came across the AMD FirePro V5900. The card is a single-slot profile, so I was able to free up an additional expansion bay previous taken by the larger EVGA card. The FirePro is a low-wattage design and can be powered by the motherboard alone, without the need of external power supply. There is virtually no cooling fan noise, even when watching video on all three monitors. So far I’m very pleased with this video card.Read full review
