I chose this hinge because it was the lowest cost stainless hinge that I could find at the time. All of these aftermarket stainless hinges are thinner that the original hinges and have thru holes for bolts instead of having countersunk holes for flat head screws. This hinge is the same as the rest. It is not the stock hinge, but for an aftermarket stainless, it is a good product and recommended. It is polished like a mirror, it honestly looks too good to belong on my jeep (1980 CJ5). The biggest "issue" is that the mounting holes are way oversized for the 5/16"-18 bolts. If the head of the of the bolt is not centered in the hole, the head does not completely cover the hole and the hole can be seen. I ended up using flat washers with the bolts to cover the holes so they would not be visible. I personally have no issue with this look, so not a problem for me. Also, they are not as thick as the original hinges, so screwing the mirrors on made me a little nervous since they only thread in about 3 turns. But, these issues are standard for all of these aftermarket hinges, so there is not really a choice and I assume it is ok.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
