You get what you pay for
The Fob works with your ford vehicle. Good key for the price. However, I compared this fob to my current OEM fob. I am Fairly sure that this is a Chinese knockoff, based off of plastic quality used and the subtle differences in the emblems colors. It's OEM at a great price. I was able to have a local locksmith cut and program it no problem. If I had gone through a dealership for a new key, the cost was over $200. Exact key you would get from a dealership but without the high price! Took to a locksmith and he had the key cut and programmed in about 15 minutes. Ford wanted $300 for the key. Great bargain! Quality construction.
Spent $40 on 2 of these keys. I then took them to a local locksmith and had them cut for $20 each. I could have had the programming done for $65 more dollars a key at the locksmith too. I opted to try it myself first. I was all set for doing the two different types of programming one for the ignition operation and one for the fob, but the first programming I tried enabled all the keys functions. 1. First already programmed key in the ignition turn to "On", turn off, remove key. 2. Second already programmed key in the ignition turn to "On", turn off, remove key. 3. New key in the ignition turn to "On", turn off, remove key. The new key is now programmed. For a total of $80, I ended up with two brand-new functioning keys that would have cost me at least $360 or more from a dealer. Thanks Guys!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
