This pole pruner works but has flaws in design and construction. 1. The telescoping pole does not lock securely in place and slips constantly when sawing or cutting. 2. The chain tangles and jams. 3. The sliding handle/grip on the rope does not easily lock onto the rope so it slips.

Used this trimmer for a tough job. Just started renting a nice little home that last tenant neglected to trim the trees. Probably because they are so tall (the trees) and not easily accessable. Well this tool took care of that. Cleared away all of the hanging branches that were actually touching the rooftop. It cuts clear and fast but, I will advize to oil the chain and the blade here and there because if you are trimming a lot like I did the blade will hang up and stick due to debris from the fresh cut limb matter. I had it extended out to full 16' and had to maneuver some to make sure there was a 90degree angle when cutting and this worked just fine. Be very careful with fingers and hands next to the blade or working mechanisms. Don't let children nearby at all when using this tool. It is highly dangerous. When I came home from errands it was sitting at the door in a box that said "I am here, You're awesome, Thanks all over it. Nice. I used it right out of the box I was so inspired.Read full review

The blade is too flimsy and wobbles rather than cutting. Like the pole. Will try to find a better blade.

The 13 inch cutting blade is sharp and cuts 4 inch branches fairly quick. The other cutter works fine for very small branches.
