The Carver M-1.0t 2 Channel Power Amplifier produces high volume and high quality acoustics for your listening pleasure. It suits all kinds of occasions, from movie night, to a party time, to easy music listening on a Sunday morning. It was produced in 1986 and remains a staple for pumping up really good tunes, old and new. This amplifier has 500 watts and two channels that reproduce music and other audio with warmth and true-to-life atmosphere of their original recording which is wonderful if you are listening to music made for CDs or the video age, but can hook up to almost any device. Its frequency response range is 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and the total harmonic distortion is 0.15 percent, which means that you get crisp and clear notes across the board. It reproduces even the smallest of details thanks to its signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB, and it also has technology that cancels out the unwanted background noise, allowing you to listen to your favorite tunes without interference or distortion, but with character. The M-1 amp has inverting outputs as in the right channel output is inverted (180 degrees) from the left channel output. It includes both stereo and mono. Other specifications include an output of 220 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 1000W into 8 ohms (mono). The damping factor is 9 and the gain is 27 dB, while the input sensitivity is 1.75 volts and the signal-to-noise ratio is 100 db. Its standard size and shape sits neatly on a shelf or near your home entertainment center. It’s in a neutral black with standard knobs and dials, which are easy to use. This amp is upgraded, apparently it was upgraded by a guy who has a bad reputation amongst the Carver ultra nerds. However this amp is insane. I don’t know how many watts it makes, but I have yet to get the little power lights past the second one because I am afraid of destroying my speakers.
