Good choice for HM70 chipet if no virtualization needed.
One of the top mega hertz CPUs supported by HM70 chipset. Unfortunately the mentioned chipset has artificial limitation which will not allow you install Ci3, Ci5 or Ci7 cpu(the system will sutdown after 30min of work). This CPU doesn't support virtualization technology so you wil not be able to run x64 VMs, however according to my experience you will notice performance improvement over say B950(2.1GHz) cpu from the same line. So B980(2.4GHz) cpu is a very good choice for none professional usage if your MB is based on HM70 chipset. If you really need Virtualization on the same chipset chose among 2020m or 2030m CPUs.
