They just don’t work.
The catch fence doesn’t work on a banked curve. It doesn’t clear the bank supports. It also doesn’t work on compound curves because the posts can’t be placed at the end of a track section. They only semi work on a standard 9” curve and even then they buckle at the place they’re supposed to snap together, which also doesn’t work well. They don’t stay together. I’m a big fan of AFX products, but this one was very disappointing..
