Savage 340 scope base
There are few scope bases still available for a Savage 340. Most are stationary rings, with very little room between them, preventing many scopes from fitting. This mount is centered to the gun, while most others for this gun are offset. It's also tall enough where I can still use the iron sights and now able to mount a scope with a 50 mm objective, which I did, instead of previously being limited to a maximum of 40 mm. I just bore sighted my scope and will have to shoot the gun to see how this mount holds up. Watch out varmints!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fits perfectly and is good quality.
I have a Savage 340E in 222 Remington. This mount fits perfectly and places the scope dead center of the barrel. It is sturdy and the scope rings included are heavier than the rings Savage made at the factory. There is enough clearance under the mount to use the iron sights if you so choose. The bolt is a bit close to the scope but it's manageable.
