The book does contain some basic ideals that could be helpful in a sweeping global manner toward looking at management as a whole. But the author fails to tie those concepts into particular points of action that could be used to become a better leader, or even use these basic concepts in a relationship setting. He seemed to spend far more time needing to talk about himself and his own seemingly endless achievements than assist me with tools into making my own success story. The book contained one good section about how to look at applicants for a certain job and to mathematically weigh their future value to the company. That chapter could be rewritten, streamlined and made into a pamphlet and be quite helpful. It is the only portion of the book that I can take away as an asset to my own future. Frankly, it was the only section worth reading. If you morally feel the need to connect on a personal level with the people with whom you manage, this is NOT your man, and not your book. If you read 20 books on management a month, then go ahead and read this one. It may give you a tidbit or two. If you are looking for one book to help you gain the mindset of a leader, please, pick another!Read full review
