This dehumidifier was an excellent purchase. I have had the unit running in the basement for about two weeks now and I am very happy with this purchase. It's quiet and very effective. I have it drying our basement which had developed a musty/moldy smell. In the northeast, we are seeing rain at least one day a week, most weeks two or more so the air is continuously humid. The unit is pulling about four to six ounces of water from the air per day. The basement no longer has that moldy smell and the air is noticeably dryer. Items on the shelves no longer feel damp. I have had the unit running in the basement for about two weeks now and I am very happy with this purchase.

It is hard for me to judge. It accumulates water in the reservoir at what seems to me to be an inefficiently slow rate. I estimate a 1/2 pint or so daily. I purchased the unit at a time when Florida was entering a lower humidity weather pattern. So while I have observed some improvement in indoor humidity levels, I don't know how much is attributable to environmental conditions and how much is attributable to the unit.

Bought this for our daughter's dorm room. It has been helpful in removing moisture from the room and runs quietly. It is easy to operate.

Used this for two straight days and it didn't change the humidity level at all, only a small amount of water in the droor, in a small less than 100 square foot bedroom at 70 degrees and 60% humidity. Despite it's good advertisement. We returned it. Maybe it would work in a closet.
