This is an awesome reel for the price. I have $400 Shimano reels but, this reel will cast farther due to the way the pawl is designed to be totally dragless. I couldn't believe the lengthy casts this reel delivered fishing rivers for 50lb salmon and 25lb steelhead and the backbone of the reel is solid. My only con is that I wish I had found them before spending over $750 on two Shimanos! I have fished Alaska with these without any problems.

Had 3 already. This is my 4th. The SV TWS reels are great on windy days. Hard to backlash; easy to palm and use. Will probably buy more come summer.

Have used Diawa products for 35+ years. Smooth casting, evenly distributed line across the spool. Anti backlash feature is nice.

Great reel for the money. I use all shimano and daiwa reels. This tatula sv is right up there with the $200-$300 reels. Throws light tackle great, I fish weightless worms and flukes with this reel and no backlashes.

This is by far the best reel I have ever used. Super smooth cast. I set it up just like any other baitcaster. The first time out on the water and I didn't even get one bird nest. That's a first for me! Usually I get at least one. I have several Lews baitcasters and I also have some Abu Garcia's as well, not super cheap stuff. This reel blows these ones away. I do like the Abu Garcia's, not a fan of the Lews, but I was definitely made a believer in Daiwa! Now I just have to get a few more!

Very compact and smooth. The braking system allows for fine tuning and extremely long casts with few backlashes even with extremely light baits. I’m using 14# fluoracarbon and put it on a 7’-0” medium fast Tatula rod, and it’s a good all purpose rig. The Tatula rod is a little heavier that some but good quality and sensitive. Very nice reel.

Love this product. You can cast it a country mile once dialed in with the syntactical braking and spool tension.

The Tatula SV TWS at $125 is the best value in a high performance fishing reel. Exceptionally long casting and very smooth. I know the SV spool is supposed to be good for lighter lures but I don’t throw much below 3/8oz on a baitcaster so I can’t comment on that aspect of the reel. I sold 1 metetanium and 3 older chronarchs and purchased 6 SV’s, about the best endorsement I can give. I’m sure they won’t have anywhere near the resale value %’s of high end Shimanos but who cares. Only thing that the reel doesn’t appear to enjoy is throwing 5 arm A-Rigs and up, you get some nasty sounds from the gears. If you’re moving up to your first high end reel, you’ll be estatic and if you’re moving down from higher end reels you’ll be amazed...I was

Cast like a dream, and super high quality for the price! I can see these prices raising as this product is rapidly growing in demand. I love using this baitcaster when skipping under docks, it really works!!!!
