A great deal of history you never knew
Believe it or not the comprehensive compilation of photos is actually secondary to the text presentation of the history of French and US involvement in Vietnam. It is all so tragic that the French , followed by the Americans blundered into the conflict. From a perspective of decades later the mistakes of decision making and the misdirection of leadership are disheartening. Reading this you must ask yourself was this avoidable? The lessons learned from reading this book will define your answer. One major fault with this book...the type chosen is tiny. Get out your magnifiers.
