When I purchased this replacement head and foil I also purchased a charging cord because the my old one quit charging. I also found that my batteries were not recharging to full capacity anymore so I also purchased a set of NI-MH rechargeable battery's. An oldie but goodie
The 31S foil and cutter along with the Braun Series 3 shaver gives a close and comfortable shave quickly although I need a standard manual razor to shave my neck after using an electric. Should Have Done It Years Ago
Braun suggests an 18 month life to these. I used the original daily for about 8 years or 5 times the suggested life cycle. My razor was getting bad to the point I was thinking I should replace it. I the foil and cutter and it's like a new razon. I can not express how bad it was and how good it is now. If you are on the fence, just buy it.
