Great Model but it has a Weight Problem
This is a fine entry level Sound and DCC locomotive. It is smooth and the sound effects work as described. The paint job is very good. That being said it has a major flaw regarding it's weight; it is too light. Pulling a 6 foot long line of rail cars it stalls and spins it's wheels over a slight grade. Even my 40 year old Athearn little switch engine doesn't have an issue. My 40 year old converted Athearn GP-38's make this new model look pretty bad in that dept. If your layout is perfectly flat you shouldn't have a problem but if you have a layout with grade changes and bridges, etc. this engine will not make the "grade".Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
