This is high-quality camp stove. Each burner is 20,000 BTU so it puts out a ton of heat and you CAN get it to simmer contrary to what some reviews have mentioned. It is easy to cleanup, and the built-in igniter is effortless to use. The 2 side windscreen stay put and do what they're intended perfectly. The only minor issue I saw was that the handle - while recessed - might not be so comfortable. The workaround is simple - a few pieces of duct tape along the edges gives you a better grip without risk of digging into your fingers.

It is a beautiful piece of gear. It is about 20% larger than a regular coleman stove, which I expected, and a bit heavier. If size is your main issue, it may be too big. If you want a consistent flame that doesn't burn your food, this does the job well. The side wind shields are a bit smaller than my other stove, but I always use a separate wind guard that folds flat and fits inside the lid anyway. When it's windy, you'll want that.

I bought this stove for the extra BTUs per burner, and it delivers. The stove is large, allowing room for heating a larger pot or pans. Overall quality is good, but the latch is cheap and the sides take a bit of force to line up to attach to the lid.

Camp Chef has updated this stove however the changes are only cosmetic. The business end is the same. That being said this is a great camp stove. You have excellent control of the heat from very low to very very hot. I can boil enough water for a cup of noodles in about a minute. Two 10” pans fit perfectly. The wind guards are effective.
