This review features Time Crisis 3, the 3rd installment in the popular shooting series. I will go over the details of this game, and help you decide whether this is the right buy for you. If you have found this guide helpful, please leave vote for this guide at the bottom. Overview - If you enjoy shooting games, this is about as good as they come. If you have played the other Time Crisis games, this is arguably the best in the series. It continues to come with great action, new features, and fast paced, addicting gameplay. This is a definite must buy for both beginning and expert gamers alike, and below I will explain why. Gameplay - This is the most important aspect for most people, and that is the gameplay. Time Crisis 3 continues its tradition with fast-pacing shooting action. It comes with the usual onslaught of enemies, random civilians popping out, and a variety of different locations. I also really enjoyed the different places and spots that enemies will randomly jump out to attack you, as it gives you a great surprise to keep your heart thumping. While this may sound like nothing new to a shooting game, Time Crisis 3 also features a new weapons system! It now allows you to choose from a handgun, machine gun, grenade launcher, and shot gun! This expansion of weapons gives you even more choices in ways to approach your enemies, as the additional weapons have limited ammunition. Now you can tackle different areas and enemies with your different weapons, as each has their own characteristics. This allows you to employ your own strategies to go with this action packed game. Graphics - The graphics are excellent considering the amount of action that is always going on screen. The graphics are not realistic by any means, but it is not meant to be, and works great with the style of the game. And even better, despite the nice graphics, the game experiences no slow-downs whatsoever, so you can continue to enjoy this fast paced gameplay. Sound - The sounds are solid in terms of its realism, but where the sound truly excels is the details. You hear everything in the environment from the gun shots, tire screeching, windows breaking, and rubble falling to the ground. This helps add a real depth to the game subconsciously as you work through the levels. Difficulty - This game is by far the most difficult of the series so far. Those who breezed through Time Crisis 1 and 2 will have a lot of fun with this more challenging version. Despite the added difficulty, the novice and average player will still be able to progress and immensely enjoy this game. Replayability - Even after beating this game, you will be compelled to play Time Crisis 3 over again many times, because this is truly just a purely fun game. On top of that, if you seek an even greater challenge, there is a Rescue Mission Mode that piles on additional challenges that will give even the best of shooters a great challenge. Conclusion - I have pretty much said everything that has needed to be said about Time Crisis 3. This is an incredibly fun shooting game, and it provides everything you expect from one in its best form, plus many other gameplay features that no other shooting game can offer. This is a definite must buy!Read full review
This game is freakin' fun! It isn't about plot and characters, but simply non-stop first person shooting action. It really gives one the feel of actually being IN an action movie...rather than just playing a game. It's cool, brainless, adrenaline fueled fun...which is what I've always seen action movies to be anyway...a safe fantasy where one can vent one's natural human dark side, without actually killing people in the real world. It's like an electronic punching bag. If used to practice punching, or in this case, shooting real people, you've not only missed the point of it being a game, but your parents suck for raising such a misguided, psychotic idiot. For the rest of us, it's some simple fun. The light gun also gets you moving more than just your thumbs, too, which is a nice foray in video gaming. Technically, the game is fast moving, and the graphics are top-notch...especially considering how much is going on on-screen at any given moment in the game. Very well done.Read full review
All I can say is awesome. A light gun and a game. Still brand new after all these years. Plus the light gun works great with many other light gun games. Lots of fun, can't go wrong with Time crisis

THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN USING THE REMOTE TO PLAY, NOT LIGHTGUN A nice adaptation of the Arcade Light Gun game to the PS2. I thought it was gonna suck using the controller and not be as fun, but being able to use the analog stick to move your cursor AND also be able to adjust sensitivity on the fly make targeting enemies much easier. In addition, all buttons are reprogrammable, so if using X to shoot isn't your thing you can change it. The game comes with Arcade mode, complete with the ability to link with another PS2 (and TV) or to just play with a split screen. Defeault settings for arcade are used (3 lives, certain amount of credits) but as the game is played additional options such as free play and being able to play with up to 9 lives are unlocked. There are also 2 new game modes, Crisis Mission and Rescue Mission, that are unlockable. So if you are a fan of light gunning or Time Crisis or simply some action, give this game a play. You'll like it.Read full review
Time Crissi 3, when most arcade gamers hear the words "Time Crisis" they automatically think light gun shooters, amazing graphics, and some pretty intense gameplay. the games (Time Crisis 1-3 and Crisis Zone, a spin off of the series) were released for the Playstation and Playstation 2 consoles, most packaged with a light gun for only about $40-70 dollars, but the one problem is that there just....isn't much to do, i mean, it's fun to play over and over, especially with friends! but it gets stale after a while. In all the console versions, there were mini-games added called "Crisis Missions." (Time Crisis 1 being the exception) One of them even had you do battle with the hero of the original game, Richard Miller! these DO add to the "fun factor" but after they are done, then what? unlock Dual-Wielding mode? fight Wild Dog a thousand times? in this installment, Time Crisis 3, they added a new plotline for Alicia Winston, with her as the main playable character. but even so, it's only about as long as the original arcade mode, and you cannot do this with a friend, NOR can you dual-wield (to the extent of my knowledge, at least) the game IS worth buying, if youre a die-hard fan of the series, but this installment lacks in terms of "time" what it makes up for in fun and playability, packaged with a GunCon2 light gun, it's sure to keep you busy. It's worth the money you'll put into it, every penny, and the fact it comes with a gun makes it all the more worthwhile.Read full review
