Extra included were the carrying handle, and the speech synthesizer (frequency readout, internally selectable in either English or Japanese). It came with an AC cord, but I went ahead and purchased a DC (with inline fuse) cord, and the radio runs cooler that way. The clock and memory backup batteries needed to be replaced, but that was easy to do (CR2032). Three out of the 4 backlight bulbs were burned out, but that's OK, because I replaced all four with 12v LEDs. The radio is a pleasure to use, with continous tuning from 25 Mhz to 2 Ghz with not breaks in between. I might later replace the Murata 230kHz WFM IF filters wiht 110 kHz, so that I can improve Wide FM DX reception.
