Almost built to OEM spec. FANTASTIC DRUM !
Tried lots of aftermarket brake drums in the past. I'd say 80 % warped within 2,000 miles. There has to be a difference somewhere. OEM drums have been discontinued for my old Toyota, so that was not an option. So, I did some research on brake drums. The " R" line of Raybestos kept coming in within the top 3 on the market. So, they were not expensive, and I bought a pair. Didn't even get them out of the box, and I could tell a difference. They were HEAVY, compared to other drums. So, I slid off the old drums, and attempted to slide the Raybestos on. They would not go on. I was confused at first, then I looked at the actual thickness of the wearing part of the drum, where the shoes meet the drum. The Raybestos " R" line had much thicker wearing area. I had to adjust the shoes to a smaller diameter, and they slid right on. This all tells me one good thing. These drums are almost made to OEM spec. They have been on the car for a few thousand miles now, no warping or vibration when stopping. A solid choice for brake drums !!! Thank you Raybestos and you're " R" line.!!!!!!
