Great quality part to fix squeaky door!
This pin can be greased so once it’s in you probably will never have to replace it. I used it on a Chevy 1500 with 255k and now the door opens like new and no noise at all! The spring tool provided worked well for removing and installing the spring. If you are good with a sawzall you can remove the old Pin without taking the door off.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The pin itself fits good but I was disappointed in the grease zerk fitting on the bottom, there is no check ball on it, grease can just run back out. The only thing holding the grease in it is a cheap rubber cap that doesn’t look like it will last long. Excellent tool and replacement pin.
Excellent device. You need to take the hinge off the truck. The spring is easily compressed with the included tool. The old pin has to be cut/sawn or ground off. The new pin installs very easily. Works like a charm. Includes a grease plug on the bottom so it will never freeze up again. Finally got rid of the annoying drivers door squeak.

Works Great!
May not be something that is easy enough for anyone to install, but if you are handy, with the right tools (especially a grinder and/or hacksaw to remove old pin), it’s not a tough job. I replaced the Driver Side Front Door Pin on my 2008 GMC Yukon XL. Took about 39 min. Don’t forget to grease the fitting when finished installing.
