Economy replacement oil pan
The oil pan is of decent quality, but it's thinner & lighter than OEM. Sealing surfaces are machined and seem to be pretty flat and smooth. The part has many sharp corners and edges. Does not appear to have any anti-corrosion coating. The aluminum seems softer than OEM but I hope it's strong enough as it becomes part of the driveline when the transmission is bolted to the pan. The OEM style oil drain plug wont work here. The helicoil insert in the pan was installed flush. The OEM plug with the magnet tip is not threaded far enough up the shank to accommodate. It does fit well but time will tell whether it remains sealed and doesn't break. Saving a few bucks now may cost more in the long run.
