Klein Tools Crimping Tool is Top Notch.
This crimper implements the new pass-thru technology and makes cable making more reliable, faster and easier. First off the crimper uses pass-thru technology. The 8 wires for RJ-45/6 wires for RJ-11 actually push through the end of the connectors (sold separately). This ensures that there's not more crimping an end, and the wire wasn't far enough into the end and you crimp it and the short wire doesn't hit the crimp or has a bad connection. The crimper is high quality and even has a wiring diagram on the side of it saving you time when needing to verify the wiring layout. The crimper crimps the connector and cuts the wires off the front of the connector. It even has a ratcheting feature, so you know when the crimping/cutting cycle is done. Of course they cost more than the generic ones, which I have purchased in the past, and this one is a lot nicer and more reliable than the inexpensive ones. It's worth the extra money in my opinion. It's worth the time not having to re-crimp an end because it didn't take. One or two non re-crimps pays for this tool in the extra time you save not having to do that. Since buying this, I haven't had to redo the ends on any cables I've created. I really like this crimper. .I like it enough to do a review on it. I usually don't waste my time on reviews unless I have problems. In this case, I'm willing to donate 5 minute of my time for others as I like this product a lot. Read full review

Works as expected.
I really wish the crimper had labeling on each side of the stripper/cutter. I've now learned which is on which side, and bot of the strippers are next to each other. One annoying thing is that when you trim the wires, all of the cut pieces fall into the channel of the lower handle, and fall out as soon as you reorient the crimpers. I have seen few without this problem, aside from those with solid handles, but I would love these even more if they could fix that problem so I can trim cables over a trash can.

Great New tool!
I recently got this tool to try out. I am very happy with the results. It did have a very small learning curve. After making a few patch cords, I got the hang of things very quickly. I recommend trimming the ends nice and neat as you normally would before you push them into the pass thru connector. I thought I could get away with varying lengths since they were just passing thru anyways. It made things difficult and left a mess. I also found it easiest to place the pass thru end into the tool to assist in stabilising the connector as you pass the wires thru. The cutter and jacket stripper blades are extremely sharp and work fantastic. The crimper/wire cutting end is equally sharp and worked flawlessly for me. I found it to be a nice touch to include the wiring diagrams on the tool itself. Perfect for home users and techs/electricians who do not terminate on a regular basis. Overall the tool is well made and very comfortable to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market looking for one. Having to stock up on the pass thru ends is a must for me now. I definitely do not want to run out and have to go back to my old setup. I have retired it since receiving this tool and hopefully it stays that way.
