I have two of these. I got them to replace the old hard to use 2 piece plastic ones that came with my first lamp 25 years ago. The second one I put on a walmart scissor lamp that had a base on it. Sturdy, and portable!

Great clamp
I am very pleased with this metal clamp. Not only I did not have to replace my whole desk lamp, which is perfect and which I have loved for over 10 years, but the new clamp is better then the original - plastic one. I had no problem with fixing this new clamp with my lamp or with installing it to my desk. No extra tools needed, it is as easy as to put the rod/base of the lamp into the base of the clamp which has extra little screw on the side to adjust the grip. Fixing the clamp to the desk is easy as well. What I love about this new clamp is that it is a solid, metal one, so, hopefully this one will stay with my lamp's lifespan.
