These plastic strips seem to be a slight bit thicker and should last longer than the blue set I installed a few years back that wore a hole through. all in all, pretty easy install if you have a pop rivet tool and a little drill bit to take out the old rivets. Dryer is quite again. Replaced the idler wheels to while I had the drum out and vacuumed all the dust from the bottom of the pan. Used a little motor oil on the idler shafts as last time I used grease and they soon squawked.

If you are even somewhat mechanically inclined (not much really needed, just common sense and pay attention), then you can replace these "wear items" on your dryer to get more years out of it and make it perform as new again! Mine is sooo quiet and runs efficiently again after installing this kit. The seller sent it FAST and It was a great price vs. buying locally at a parts supplier.. (1/2 the price). If your dryer drum is rubbing (makes metal on metal noise) when its spinning, this is the part you need. If you're even vaguely handy with tools, it's a fairly simple repair. Much cheaper than waking up the Maytag repairman :-)
