For the price point it is working for me, so far. I play keyboard for church and wanted to avoid page turns, and was using 2 stands side by side. Base and pole are steel, and the same design as the classic manhasset stands, that I have used for many years. Top shelf is a lighter aluminum, but effective. Don't plan on putting multiple heavy books on it. You will need to keep the weight balanced, so it doesn't tip over. I am using this in a 1952 house basement and the underside of the base was not painted, so I turned it over and sprayed painted it black. The second reason I gave 4 stars is the connecting piece from the shelf to the pole is made of plastic. So only time will tell how long this will last. I have a single Manhasset stand made of all steel metal that still works from the1980's. So....overall I am happy with the purchase. Thank You. Read full review

As Choir Director, this stand gives me plenty of room for my hymn book and iPod without feeling like one of them is about to fall off the stand. It's been a big help for me.

It's big, it holds multiple sheets of music. It's adjustable. It's heavy duty. It was slightly damaged so I got a good deal.

I struggled with 2 flimsy (and cheap!) music stands to hold my music. Don’t waste your money on cheap stands.
