This is a very good idea for a Nano Tank....Not all tanks can have a HOB or internal to go with it. Using the cheap store brand filter plus this Penn-Plax add-on, it's really help keep it clear and you can expect less water changes.

Did not seem to keep water clear in a 2 gallon fish bowl. Air pump is noisy for its size, and bubbles from Filter in tank are extremely loud, when I had it on My Betta would hide in his house. I am now trying a small round one from my local pet store recommendation.
