Review Ludwig Atlas Pro - New Saddle Drum Throne, 50TH Anniversary Edition. This is a great throne. It's very firm at first. Will take time to soften & break it in. It is a rock solid unit. A little spendy in my opinion but you get what you pay for. I really like the screw up height spindle & lock assembly. Superior to all others I've owned. This throne looks cool in the pictures but just wait til you actually see it! First of all, it's way bigger than I thought and way comfortable! The Ludwig logo is embossed suede & looks great! The colors pop and the hardware is pretty rugged. I've seen thicker hardware but this is sturdy enough. I sit pretty high up on my kit and the seat raises pretty high. It screws up tall which makes it custom height rather than a pole with pegs.
